The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) is an independent not-for-profit organization helping to lead the improvement of health care throughout the world. Founded in 1991 and based in Cambridge, MA, IHI works to accelerate improvement by building the will for change, cultivating promising concepts for improving patient care, and helping health care systems put those ideas into action.

Center for Creative Leadership
The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) is a nonprofit heritage and educational organization. Its mission is to advance the understanding, practice and development of leadership for the benefit of society worldwide.

Center for Leadership Excellence in Healthcare
The Center for Leadership Excellence in Healthcare (CLEH) was created to serve as a repository of current health care leadership thought and practice with the intent of increasing the leadership capabilities of individuals and organizations within the federal health care system. The motivation behind the CLEH is the belief that the federal health care system is fortunate to have several outstanding leaders who have made significant, long-lasting contributions to medical mission accomplishment. These contributions need to be identified, captured and made avaliable to future leaders. As such, the Center's primary goal is to advance the understanding and practice of leadership theory as it applies to federal health care by capturing outstanding leadership thoughts and practices and making them available for others to study.

American College of Healthcare Executives
The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is an international professional society of more than 30,000 health care executives who lead hospitals, health care systems and other health care organizations. ACHE is known for its prestigious credentialing and educational programs and its annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership, which draws more than 4,000 participants each year. ACHE's established network of more than 80 chapters provides access to networking, education and career development at the local level. In addition, ACHE is known for its magazine, Healthcare Executive, and its journals, the Journal of Healthcare Management and Frontiers of Health Services Management, as well as groundbreaking research and career development and public policy programs. ACHE's publishing division, Health Administration Press, is one of the largest publishers of books and journals on all aspects of health services management in addition to textbooks for use in college and university courses.
